Position Summary:
The Facilities & Yard Technician is responsible for supporting daily operations through equipment maintenance, yard organization, deliveries, and general facility upkeep. This role ensures equipment is maintained, materials are handled efficiently, and the shop and yard remain organized and operational.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on all equipment within the facility
- Reference equipment information stored in the black cabinet in the shop office
- Update PM spreadsheets
- Conduct weekly cleaning and maintenance of GF units in the shop
- Complete daily lift inspections and ensure safe operating conditions
- Monthly Sling inspections
- Handle unloading of incoming materials from vendors ( outside shop ),and ( inside shop ) dock.
- Inspect all deliveries for any product damage, and if damage have driver document BOL with signature.
- Assist with tagging and staging inbound freight.
- Manage and organize yard inventory, layout, and material flow
- Coordinate and process material returns (e.g., Linear, sea crates, and other materials)
- Oversee gang box and tool tracking.
- Maintain accurate gang box inventory and ensure tools are accounted for.
- Complete basic tool repairs and coordinate more complex repairs when required.
- Assist with general building and facility maintenance as needed
- Successfully pass company driving requirements
- Perform deliveries and pickups as needed
- Build wood crates and pallets for shipping finished good.
- Handle loading outgoing materials.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with inventory counts and material tracking
- Support shop personnel with material handling and staging
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop, yard, and storage areas
- Identify and report equipment issues or safety concerns
- Help improve processes related to tool control, yard flow, and maintenance tracking
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- CDL license preferred but not mandatory.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic repair knowledge
- Ability to operate forklifts and shop equipment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- A positive attitude and willing to work and support a fast-paced environment with rapid job changes and the ability to pivot tasks instantly without sacrificing accuracy.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
