BACKGROUND:

Stainless Process Systems (www.stainlessprocesssystems.com) is a rapidly growing ASME equipment manufacturer that engineers and builds precision vessels for the Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor and Food and Beverage industries. SPS fabricates stainless steel equipment both as an OEM and custom (based upon our design) equipment supplier to domestic and global customers. SPS provides engineering servicesto ASME standards for the highest quality fabrication or repair of pressure vessels, technical processing equipment and non-rated tanks.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a motivated machinist/waterjet operator who will be responsible for carefully reading blueprints for machining and waterjet cutting to meet customer specifications in an efficient manner. Always attentive to detail, successful waterjet operators will ensure that their cutting work meets SPS’s high-quality standards for product manufacturing. You must be able to do layouts, run manual lathes, mill machines and the drill press. You will set up, program and run an Omax Waterjet machine and you must be able to work OT on Saturdays. A plus if you can run a press brake, shear and other machine shop tools. You adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures. You will also maintain a clean shop and work area

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Set up, program and run an Omax Waterjet machine and you must be able to work OT on Saturdays

· Accurately interpret blueprints and drawings, must be able to document machining and time accurately

· Should have extensive experience performing waterjet operations and operate and run time-saver.

· Experience in press brake, shear and other machine shop tools is a plus

· Maintain a clean and organized work area

· Communicate and work well with other departments and team members regarding accurate and timely completion of projects

· Take initiative to identify problems, develop alternative and proactive solutions and gather/present information in a timely manner

· Exhibit ability to prioritize and plan work activities, manage time efficiently and meet objectives to complete projects

· Demonstrate teamwork by working well with others, offering assistance, responding positively to constructive feedback

REQUIREMENTS:

· 5 years relevant work experience

· High school diploma
