Trades School Student

General Summary:

• Stainless Fabrication, Inc. has an In-House Welding and Grinding School so you can learn a trade while getting paid. These courses consist of hands-on classroom learning in the mornings and finishing your day working in the shop. 
  1. 10 Week Welding course consists of: 
     • Welding both GTAW & GMAW Grinding
     • Blueprint Reading
     • Basic Tank Fabrication Skills
     • Basic Layout Skills
  2. 8 Week Grinding course consists of: 
     • Grinding
     • Polishing
     • Blueprint Reading
     • Basic Tig Welding
     • Learn to read Roughness Average

Essential Job Functions:

• Follows instruction of the trainer while in class and on the floor.
• Follows all safety guidelines as noted in Safety Manual.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to report to work on time. 
• Ability to retain the skills taught.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. 
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
