Qualifications
What you'll be doing:
Coordinates work activities for the manager/ supervisor of the assigned work center (s). Attend daily production meetings, as necessary. Maintains work center inventory needs. Acts as a trainer/mentor to his/her direct reports. Demonstrates self- motivation, leadership, and ability to act on own with minimal supervision.
- Assumes responsibility for the accurate and timely completion of order fulfillment functions.
- Analyzes work orders, visualize reports, and schedules to determine information such as materials to be used, type of operations, and sequence of operations required.
- Examines defective materials/machinery to determine cause of malfunction/defect and reports to maintenance or department manager.
- Sets up and operates machines to make test runs and experimental products.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures and employee work assignments to meet production schedules/goals.
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good communications, coordination, and working relations with the company personnel and management. Be a team player by assisting and supporting other coworkers as needed.
- Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns. Identifies and resolves problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Confers with other leads and Managers/ Supervisors to coordinate activities of individual work centers.
- Assumes responsibility for ensuring that assembly functions are completed in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
- Follows established quality and safety standards in area.
- Meets deadlines.
- Inspects work in progress, work orders, and finished products for accuracy and completion.
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
- Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
- Makes sure company policies and procedures are communicated and followed.
- Ability to obtain a company certificate for forklift and trucks and/or other equipment as necessary in the movement of materials.
- Completes special projects as needed.
