Position Summary
As a vital member of our team, you'll be responsible for various fitting-out, mounting, wiring, decaling, and installation tasks on a range of truck bodies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Cutting and installing rubber using glue or clips.
- Installing lock cylinders, door holders, trays, shelves, and tailgates.
- Mounting doors, fenders, tailgates, and lids.
- Fitting bumpers, hitches, ladder racks, and windows.
- Wiring utility bodies according to engineering specifications.
- Mounting utility bodies to engineering standards.
- Installing additional options as per engineering specifications.
- Ensuring the quality of products leaving the yard.
- Maintaining and utilizing required tools, including air tools, torches, hand tools, tape measures, glue, and tape.
- Adhering to all safety and housekeeping protocols.
- Fulfilling any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven decision-making capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Effective and professional communication with colleagues, vendors, and customers.
- One year of sheet metal experience or related experience preferred.
