Candidate will be responsible for the scenic fabrication of set pieces, signs, custom stage platforms, stairs, flats, podiums, furniture and additional specialty items. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Program & operate Laguna CNC Router using VCarve software
- Work with additional equipment to include routers, sanders, saws, drills, etc.
- Read and interpret plans, sketches and shop drawings
- Work with designers and management to achieve customers’ satisfaction
- Maintain a high level of production while maintaining quality
- Respond to quick turn-around orders
- Perform well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
- Determine type and dimensions of wood stock to be used
- Nest to minimize waste or raw stock
- Maintain & clean equipment and work areas
- Perform related duties as assigned
- MUST BE ABLE TO READ A TAPE MEASURE ACCURATELY
- 2 years of VCarve programming experience
- Trade school graduate or equivalent
- Team player with positive attitude
- Knowledge of plastics & Plexiglas, Auto Cad and SolidWorks a plus
- Experience with laminates, tongue & groove and veneers desired
- Knowledge of shop practices and skill in using shop tools and equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and translate into fabricated products
- Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform related duties and responsibilities of this job including team lifting up to 75 lbs.
