Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Wood CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate computer-controlled woodworking machinery to produce high-quality wood components and furniture. Responsibilities
· Set up and operate CNC woodworking machines, following detailed technical drawings.
· Program CNC equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to create precise machining instructions.
· Interpret technical specifications to ensure accurate fabrication of wood parts.
· Conduct routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot industrial equipment issues, and perform adjustments to optimize performance.
· Measure finished components using measuring instruments such as calipers, tape measure, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.
· Follow safety standards in production areas, including proper use of hand tools, safety gear, and machine guarding protocols.
· Assist with materials handling, fabrication, packaging, and assembly line tasks as needed to support production flow.
Requirements
· Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
· Familiarity with CNC programming, CAM programming, V Carve Pro, or SolidWorks is a plus.
· Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, materials handling, and fabrication processes.
· Strong attention to detail with excellent measurement skills using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
· Good math skills for calculating measurements and machine settings; basic understanding of safety standards in production environments.
· Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently and work well within a team on assembly line tasks.
