In college you learn how to act, but no one teaches you how to actually BE an actor. That’s where The Virtual Green Room comes in.
This 8-week class teaches you the in’s and out’s of how to be a working actor. Run by internationally known coach Nate Plummer you’ll learn the things you’ve been waiting for someone to tell you about the industry.
Surrounded by a group of actors just like you from all over the country, you’ll learn:
- What is branding & how to use it as an actor
- What makes good headshots & resumes
- What to put in an agent cover letter & submission
- What should go on your website & audition site profiles
- What makes a good self-tape & what gear do you need
- What makes a successful audition - beyond being cast
- What are the unions and when you should join
- How to manage your actor finances & prep for taxes
- … & so much more!
More importantly, The Virtual Green Room serves as a place for actors to connect with each other and support each other as they navigate the ups and downs of the industry. Past cohorts actively talk about their “Green Room Family” and travel all over the country to visit each other.

ABOUT NATE PLUMMER:
Nate Plummer is an internationally known audition coach with clients appearing on Regional, National Tour, Cruise Ship, and Broadway Stages as well as National TV / Film and Commercial projects. He is the founder of Stage Door Unlocked, an online professional actor's training and resource company that works with clients all over the United States and around the world. An active clinician, he presents workshops and master classes all over the country. Nate is also a stage director with work appearing all over the Midwest and he serves as the Executive Artistic Director of Stage Door Unlocked Productions. He is a proud member of both Actors' Equity and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
