Dance Teacher — Stage Door School of Dance East Patchogue, NY | Part-Time
Stage Door School of Dance is an established dance studio on Long Island with 50 years of history and a reputation for serious training. We are adding to our faculty for the 2026-2027 season across multiple styles and age groups.
What we are looking for: We want teachers who are technically strong, artistically driven, and genuinely love working with young dancers. You hold students to a high standard and know how to nurture them at the same time. You show up prepared, work well with a team, and care about the quality of what happens in your classroom.
Styles: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acro, Musical Theater, Strength for Dancers
Age groups: Preschool (12 months ) through adult, including competitive levels
Our programs:
- Recreational
- weDance (dancers with different abilities)
- Competition — Elite Company, Select, and Crew
Requirements:
- Experience teaching dance to youth
- Strong technical foundation in your discipline
- Professional and reliable
A BFA or BA in Dance or professional performance background is preferred but not required.
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
