This role is ideal for a hands-on consultant with strong expertise in manufacturing systems integration, SAP MII, and industrial automation technologies.
The selected candidate will bridge Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments, enabling seamless system integration, real-time data visibility, manufacturing traceability, and operational efficiency across production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using SAP Manufacturing Integration & Intelligence (SAP MII) within manufacturing environments.
- Develop and configure iViews, Business Logic Services (BLS), and SAP UI5/Fiori applications to support operational workflows.
- Integrate shop floor systems, manufacturing equipment, and enterprise applications to ensure smooth data exchange and system interoperability.
- Configure and support industrial connectivity solutions using Kepware for OT-to-IT communication.
- Enable real-time communication across manufacturing systems using industrial protocols such as OPC, MQTT, and Modbus.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve production monitoring, traceability, and process efficiency.
- Interface with PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems for automation, monitoring, and data acquisition.
- Support integration between MES and ERP systems to optimize manufacturing operations and reporting.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain manufacturing integration solutions to ensure performance and reliability.
- 8 years of experience in manufacturing systems integration, automation engineering, or related environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP MII development and configuration.
- Experience with iViews, BLS, SAP UI5, and SAP Fiori.
- Hands-on experience with Kepware for industrial system connectivity.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols, including OPC, MQTT, Modbus, and similar technologies.
- Experience working with PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMI technologies.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, MES, and ERP integration.
- Proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, XML, and web technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills in cross-functional manufacturing environments.
- Prior experience in shop floor automation and smart manufacturing initiatives.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems with industrial automation platforms.
- Ability to work collaboratively across IT, engineering, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment.
