Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
Pay rate: $19.00 per hour
Staffworks is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laborer for Heat Treating for a manufacturing facility in Oriskany, NY. This position is ideal for candidates with prior manufacturing experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand work instructions
- Experience using measuring instruments
- Previous manufacturing experience required
- Ability to operate a forklift and successfully obtain forklift certification
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
Essential Responsibilities
- Operate heat treating furnaces
- Set and regulate temperature controls on steel treating furnaces
- Inspect parts for foreign material and properly position parts on racks
- Load furnaces and monitor heating cycles to ensure proper timing and temperature
- Remove heated parts from furnaces and place into water or oil baths for quenching
- Buff, sand, or polish finished parts as needed
- Operate a forklift to maneuver and stage materials and finished parts
