Position Overview
The IT Analyst is an in-person position responsible for providing technical support, system administration, and IT infrastructure management, with a focus on Google Workspace tools and services. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in addressing technical challenges. The IT Analyst will work closely with team members and other departments to ensure the efficient operation of IT systems, ensuring that business needs are met while maintaining system security, integrity, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide timely and effective support to end-users, identifying and resolving hardware, software, Google Workspace, and network issues.
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor IT systems, servers, Google Workspace applications, and network performance, ensuring uptime and performance standards are met.
- Software & Hardware Management: Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications and hardware devices, with particular focus on Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Meet, etc.).
- Google Workspace Administration: Manage Google Workspace user accounts, groups, permissions, and security settings. Ensure efficient use of Google Workspace tools across the organization.
- Data Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols for Google Workspace, including data encryption, multi-factor authentication, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Project Assistance: Assist in the planning, implementation, and documentation of IT projects, including Google Workspace migration, upgrades, and integrations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of IT incidents, service requests, Google Workspace configurations, and project statuses.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with other departments to understand IT needs, offer technical guidance on Google Workspace tools, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Training & Support: Provide training and knowledge-sharing opportunities for users to enhance their technical proficiency in Google Workspace applications and improve overall IT utilization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, including new Google Workspace features, and recommend improvements or upgrades to the IT infrastructure.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networking protocols, hardware, and software.
- Extensive experience with Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Meet, Google Docs, etc.) and administration.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment regarding technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security , CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA ), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Google Workspace Administrator, Network ).
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks or other service management methodologies.
- Experience integrating new technologies into existing IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal disruption to operations.
