Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for Science, Art, English, or Social Studies.
- Utilize advanced instructional techniques and learning technology to enhance student engagement and understanding.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Incorporate specialized content such as Trigonometry, Geometry, Calculus, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Dissection techniques, Differential Equations, Discrete Math, and Laboratory experiments into lessons where applicable.
- Mentor students individually or in groups to support academic achievement and personal development.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design to ensure consistency and excellence across grade levels.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to education administration, special education strategies, Montessori methods, or library services as needed.
- Prepare students for standardized testing by designing targeted practice sessions and reviewing core concepts.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, behavior management notes, and lesson plans in compliance with school policies.
Experience
- Valid teaching certification in the relevant subject area (Science/Art/English/Social Studies).
- Proven classroom experience with diverse student populations; private school experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in subject-specific knowledge such as Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Calculus; along with laboratory experience in scientific research and dissection techniques.
- Strong background in curriculum development and instructional design tailored to different learning styles.
- Experience working with students requiring special education accommodations or behavioral management strategies.
- Familiarity with educational technology tools and digital learning platforms to facilitate interactive lessons.
- Prior experience mentoring or tutoring students outside regular classroom hours is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and assessment analysis to inform instruction effectively.
