We are seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Specialist to support the administration and management of group health insurance and employee benefit programs. This role is ideal for someone who has worked closely alongside an insurance broker, benefits consultant, or employee benefits producer and enjoys being the go-to person for quotes, renewals, client support, and benefits administration.
The successful candidate will serve as a trusted resource for clients, helping analyze plan options, prepare proposals, manage enrollment activities, and ensure a high level of service throughout the benefits lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and analyze group health insurance quotes from multiple carriers.
- Prepare and present employee benefit plan comparisons and recommendations.
- Support annual renewals, open enrollment, and new group implementations.
- Manage enrollment, eligibility, and benefits administration processes.
- Coordinate with insurance carriers, brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare client-facing benefit presentations and renewal materials.
- Assist with employee benefits questions and issue resolution.
- Review and process applications, policy changes, and related documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of required paperwork.
- Stay informed on group health insurance trends, carrier offerings, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in employee benefits, group health insurance, or insurance brokerage support.
- Strong knowledge of group medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans.
- Experience working with health insurance carriers and employee benefits platforms.
- Ability to compare coverage options and explain benefits clearly to clients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with benefits administration systems such as Employee Navigator, Ease, ADP, Paylocity, UKG, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Health and Life Insurance License preferred but not required.
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
