About the Role:
As a Construction Project Supervisor, you'll play a key role in the successful execution of our construction projects. You will lead and manage field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency are at the forefront of every task. Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision:
Oversee and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Effectively communicate project plans, goals, and expectations to all team members.
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with project specifications and schedules.
Project Management:
Develop and execute detailed work plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
Collaborate with field engineers, estimators, and other stakeholders to ensure project compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
Proactively identify and resolve project risks and challenges, implementing effective solutions to maintain progress and quality.
Safety and Compliance:
Champion a strong safety culture on-site, enforcing strict adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections and training to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Communication and Reporting:
Maintain clear and accurate project documentation, including daily activity logs, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
Effectively communicate project updates and challenges to management and clients.
Conduct project meetings to ensure alignment and address any concerns.
Qualifications:
8 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
5 years of demonstrated experience in construction management, leading and supervising teams.
A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification is a plus.
A valid driver's license is required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strong understanding of construction equipment, safety protocols, and local union/prevailing wage rules.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts.
Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making.
