This role places you at the forefront of mission-critical hardware development, where you will guide innovative electronics initiatives from initial architectural concepts through full-scale qualification and production in Ronkonkoma, New York.
What You’ll Do
Architect advanced hardware solutions across the complete product lifecycle, spanning requirements definition, architectural design, environmental qualification, and sustained manufacturing support.
Engineer robust analog and digital systems tailored for extreme operating conditions and rigorous performance standards.
Author comprehensive design specifications and lead formal technical presentations during major project reviews.
Balance intricate architectural tradeoffs regarding performance targets, financial budgets, project timelines, and operational risk.
Troubleshoot complex manufacturing challenges, collaborate with external vendors, and support legacy systems through hands-on technical analysis.
Mentor junior staff members, contribute specialized technical content to business proposals, and guide strategic hiring decisions.
What You Bring
Hold a Bachelor Of Science In Electrical Engineering (a Master Of Science is preferred).
Accumulate 15 to 30 Years Of Experience specializing in Analog Circuit Design, Digital Circuit Design, Analog To Digital Conversion, Processors, Microcontrollers, Input And Output, and Communications.
Demonstrate deep knowledge in Power Electronics, utilizing Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor, Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor, Silicon Carbide, and Gallium Nitride devices.
Apply expertise in Direct Current To Direct Current Converters alongside compliance standards including Mil Std 1275, Mil Std 704, Do 160, and Mil Std 461.
Execute rigorous evaluations including Thermal Analysis, Electrical Stress Analysis, Worst Case Analysis, Tolerance Analysis, Aging Analysis, Failure Mode And Effects Analysis, Electromagnetic Interference, and Radiation Analysis.
Master Printed Wiring Board Layout optimized for high-power, high-voltage, and electromagnetic-compliant architectures.
Utilize diverse Communication Protocols such as Controller Area Network, Recommended Standard 232, Recommended Standard 422, Recommended Standard 485, Serial Peripheral Interface, Joint Test Action Group, Peripheral Component Interconnect, Peripheral Component Interconnect Express, and Ethernet.
Implement Motor Control, Control Theory, Z Domain Analysis, Clark Transform, Park Transform, and specialized Sensor Interfaces including Linear Variable Differential Transformer, Resolvers, and Encoders.
Leverage industry software including Linear Technology Simulation Program, Personal Simulation Program, Orcad, Allegro, and Matlab Simulink.
Compensation & Total Rewards
Annual Salary: $170,000 - $210,000
