Job Summary
As a Primary Counselor in our treatment center, you will provide high-quality care to individuals with varying levels of substance addiction. Your role involves establishing treatment plans, educating patients on treatment options, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients in individual or group sessions.
- Educate patients on various treatment methods and techniques.
- Maintain comprehensive records for health insurance and patient tracking.
- Collaborate with professional staff to assess suitability for counseling services or referrals to other treatment centers.
- Conduct research to stay updated on changes within the field and develop new treatment methods.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
- Assist with general monitoring of in-house patients as needed.
Requirements
- Masters degree in an applicable field or Certified Counselor.
- Licensed in the state of Ohio (LCDC II, LCDC III, LPC, LPCC, LCSW, LISW).
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and excellent documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- At least 2 years of experience in substance abuse treatment.
