Job Goals:
The full-time CTE Science Integration Instructor supports the integration of rigorous science instruction into career and technical education programs at Stafford Technical Center to ensure authentic alignment & assessment of the embedded Next Generation Science standards. The Science Integrationist collaborates with CTE instructors, academic teachers, school counselors, administrators, and industry partners to embed scientific concepts, inquiry-based learning, and technical literacy into career-focused curricula. This position promotes high-quality interdisciplinary instruction that strengthens student achievement in science, increases career readiness, supports credential attainment, and enhances opportunities for college and career pathways. Over time, this position will evolve into the development and teaching of a science curriculum with dedicated course offerings connected to program offerings for some of our more science-focused programs.
This role directly supports Stafford Technical Center’s efforts to meet and exceed Perkins V performance indicators, including:
• 1S1 4-Year Graduation Rate
• 2S3 Science Proficiency
It also addresses needs identified in the school’s CLNA and Student Performance as well as Program of Study and Program Size, Scope and Quality.
Performance Responsibilities:
Curriculum Integration & Instructional Support
- Collaborate with CTE instructors to integrate science standards and practices into technical program curricula.
- Assist instructors in developing interdisciplinary lessons, projects, and assessments aligned with:
- State science standards
- Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), where applicable
- Industry standards and technical competencies
- Perkins V program quality indicators
- Support the development of authentic, project-based learning experiences connecting science concepts to real-world industry applications.
- Help align technical programs with Programs of Study and career pathways.
- Provide instructional coaching to CTE faculty regarding science integration strategies and effective instructional practices.
- Facilitate professional development on:
- STEM integration
- Inquiry-based instruction
- Data literacy
- Scientific practices in technical fields
- Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- Assist teachers in incorporating literacy, numeracy, and science practices into technical instruction.
- Promote student engagement in STEM-related career pathways.
- Support students in developing scientific reasoning, technical problem-solving, and workplace readiness skills.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for dual enrollment, industry credentials, and articulated credit opportunities.
- Encourage participation in STEM competitions, CTSOs, and experiential learning activities.
- Partner with business, industry, and postsecondary institutions to strengthen science and STEM relevance within CTE programs.
- Assist in identifying emerging technologies and workforce trends relevant to instructional programming.
- Support grant development and implementation related to STEM, workforce development, and career pathways.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director.

- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, STEM Education, Career & Technical Education, or related field.
- Valid teaching license or eligibility for licensure in the area of secondary science.
- Experience in science instruction, STEM education, or CTE environments.
- Knowledge of interdisciplinary curriculum development and instructional practices.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
- Master’s degree in education, curriculum and instruction, STEM integration, or related field.
- Experience working within a CTE center or technical education environment.
- Knowledge of NGSS, proficiency-based learning, and career pathway development.
- Experience with project-based learning and industry partnerships.
- Familiarity with data analysis and school improvement planning.
Salary : $47,252 - $92,401
