Role Description The Teacher, Behavior Support is a full-time, on-site role based in Stafford, TX. This role collaborates with general and special education staff, counselors, and families to develop and adjust strategies that foster a safe, inclusive learning environment. Daily responsibilities include designing and delivering lessons that integrate behavioral supports, modeling effective classroom management techniques, and collecting data to inform instructional and behavioral decisions. The role also includes participating in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives to support student success.
Qualifications
- Strong Teaching and Education skills, including experience working with students with diverse behavioral and learning needs.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Training, with the ability to design structured instructional activities and coach others on behavior support strategies.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear documentation, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and constructive engagement with students and families.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques, positive behavior interventions, and classroom management best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field; appropriate state teaching certification required.
- Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations, demonstrate cultural responsiveness, and support an inclusive school climate.
- Experience in K–12 settings and familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and related support plans is beneficial.
