Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our specialty medical practice. This role supports providers and patients through a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Pay Rate starts at $23.64/ increased based off of experience
Responsibilities
Clinical:
- Patient intake, medical histories, and vital signs
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures
- Assist with exams, minor procedures and EKGs
- Administer injections and medications as ordered
- Provide patient education on medications, diet, and care plans
- Handle prescription refills
Administrative:
- Document accurately in EMR systems
- Communicate with patients, pharmacies, labs, and insurance companies
- Obtain prescription prior authorizations and follow up with insurers
- Support daily office workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- Knowledge of infection control and basic nursing principles
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with EMR systems preferably EPIC
- Ability to multitask in a busy specialty practice
- Must have HS diploma or equivalent
