Summary
Stafford Mechanical Services is looking to grow our team with a talented, hardworking, and motivated plumbers for residential and light commercial service work.
As a plumber at Stafford Mechanical, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, installing, and repairing residential and light commercial plumbing systems, fixtures, and accessories including standard water heaters, tankless water heaters, water filtration systems, garbage disposals, faucets and fixtures. You’ll work independently in the field while collaborating with our well-trained, experienced service team to deliver excellent work and clear, respectful communication with our customers. This position also offers growth into servicing more advanced and specialized systems over time, with ongoing training opportunities and access to manufacturer-authorized classes.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain, service, install, and repair plumbing systems in residential and light commercial settings
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues related to plumbing
- Perform routine maintenance and system inspections
- Clearly communicate service needs and recommendations to clients
- Accurately document all findings, work performed, and materials used
- Ensure all work is completed to code and in line with company standards
- Participate in training sessions and factory-authorized classes as needed
- Coordinate with appropriate team members to ensure jobs run smoothly
- Uphold the high-quality standards that Stafford Mechanical is widely known for
Responsibilities
- Installation, Maintenance, and Repairs
- Service residential & light commercial plumbing systems
Customer Service
- Communicate professionally and clearly with customers
- Provide detailed explanations of service work and recommendations
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain clear and accurate service records
- Follow OSHA, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed to local code and high professional standards
Technical Development
- Participate in factory training and continuing education
- Learn to work on advanced or specialized plumbing systems
- Diagnose and correct performance issues and faults
Requirements
- 2–3 years of plumbing service experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems
- Experience with routine maintenance, service diagnostics, and repairs
- Valid driver’s license required
- License preferred or in progress
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with ServiceTitan, or other trades software is a beneficial but not required (training will be provided to those that are new to the technology)
