Custodial Worker

Position Summary:

This position involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks and ensuring that all areas of the facility are well-kept and presentable. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing various areas of the facility.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
• Empty trash bins and ensure that waste is disposed of properly.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies are low.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to schedules and routines to ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Physical Requirements:

• Willingness to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and their appropriate use.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under minimal supervision.

Communication:

• Good verbal communication skills to interact with staff and report issues effectively.
