Job Summary And Purpose
The Specialist of Operations is responsible for managing critical processes related to the completion of requests for employment verifications, loan forgiveness, educational supplements, and additional stipends. The position also provides backup support for FMLA requests and approvals.
Work Objectives/Essential Functions
- Processes all employment verification, loan forgiveness, and unemployment requests from employees, former employees, and external parties
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of all requests and adheres to legal and school division guidelines
- Completes all record requests
- Verifies completion of any educational or certification supplement requests and processes the requests
- Assists with maintaining the Record Management System
- Assists Coordinator of Secondary Staffing with extra block payments requests and payroll processing
- Processes monthly required reporting
- Assists the HR Generalist, FMLA and ADA providing support as needed
- Provides front desk coverage when necessary
- Responds to written and oral requests for information promptly and thoroughly
- Complies with all District and School policies and regulations, including guidelines for confidentiality
Education Attainment (Required): Associate’s degree (or equivalent) Education Attainment (Preferred): Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field Relevant Experience (Required): Relevant Experience (Preferred):
- At least two (2) years of experience in related areas such as employment verifications, employee benefits, educational assistance programs and/or compensation processing
- One (1) year of experience with FMLA and ADA
Additional Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Knowledge of school division organization and programs
- Understands HR laws and regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Workspace and HRIS systems
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for detailed work environment
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or cooperatively
- Prioritizes and meets deadlines for all work even when working on multiple projects
- Engage in ongoing professional development relevant to position.
