What You’ll Do
- Manage and track purchase orders from creation through on-time delivery
- Negotiate pricing and terms with domestic and global suppliers
- Use ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite a plus) to review material needs against production schedules and sales data
- Optimize inventory levels to reduce working capital, prevent stock-outs, and minimize obsolete materials
- Evaluate supplier performance and resolve shipping or quality discrepancies
- Coordinate material cycle counts and serve as backup to the Materials Planner for work orders
- Act as the cross-functional link between production, engineering, sales, and finance on material shortages and design changes
- Process vendor returns and monitor acknowledgment
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
- Experience with domestic and global suppliers a plus
- HS diploma or GED required; BS in Business, Engineering, or related field a plus
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
