Education Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and understand production instructions, blueprints, process sheets, and workplace safety procedures.
- Basic math skills required, including measuring, calculating dimensions, and completing production logs and reports.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Experience Requirements
- Previous experience in manufacturing, machining, CNC operation, heat treating, metal fabrication, machine operation, or industrial production preferred.
- Experience operating equipment such as lathes, mills, drills, presses, or CNC machines is a plus.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to verify product quality and tolerances.
- Strong attention to detail, quality focus, and commitment to safe work practices.
- Dependable attendance, adaptability, and the ability to support changing production demands.
- Proven ability to collaborate with supervisors and team members to improve productivity and efficiency.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand and work throughout an entire shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and positioning heavy materials and components.
- Ability to safely handle large or awkward parts using cranes, lifting equipment, or team-lift procedures.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for machine operation, inspections, and precision measurements.
- Ability to consistently follow PPE, safety, and company policy requirements.
Job Duties
- Set up and operate manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, drills, and presses, according to production specifications.
- Install, align, and secure dies, punches, blades, fixtures, and tooling to ensure safe and efficient machine operation.
- Follow work orders, blueprints, process sheets, and verbal instructions to meet production goals.
- Monitor machine performance and inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and dimensional specifications.
- Perform measurements using precision inspection tools and document results as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area while adhering to all manufacturing and OSHA safety standards.
- Support cross-functional production needs and assist other departments as required to meet customer and operational demands.
