Schedule: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter accounts payable transactions into accounting systems (Oracle experience is an asset)
- Review invoices and cheque requests for proper documentation and approval
- Verify and correct account coding as needed
- Ensure GST/PST accuracy and calculate self-assessments when required
- Prepare account reconciliations and support month-end close activities
- Assist with bank deposits and other routine accounting tasks
- Perform general office administration and filing duties
- Provide backup support for payroll and other finance-related functions as required
Qualifications:
- Must have two years of relevant experience
- Post-secondary training in accounting, finance, or administration (or 1-2 years of related experience)
- Experience with Oracle Financials or similar ERP systems considered an asset
- Strong numerical accuracy and high attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-starter with initiative to learn and grow
