What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at Staffmark and Careers?
- Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (1st Shift)
- $19–$21 per hour
- Initial training includes 1 day of orientation and one week of company video training
- Perform mechanical inspections of raw materials, components, fabricated parts, and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Conduct first-piece/first-article, incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Measure components and assemblies using micrometers, calipers, Optical Comparator, and CMM equipment
- Generate detailed inspection and nonconformance reports as necessary
- Review and verify documentation for accuracy, including engineering drawings, travelers, specifications, and BOMs
- Interface with other departments, suppliers, and customers regarding quality concerns
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and promote teamwork to achieve positive results
- High school diploma or equivalent; some technician coursework or AA degree preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in machine shop, assembly, or cleanroom environments (Semi-Conductor or similar industry experience preferred)
- Proficiency in GD&T, mechanical measurement techniques, and interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with welding symbols, sheet metal, paint/power coat/plating processes, and mechanical assemblies
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Computer-literate with experience in MS Office and database software
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to follow strict safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp as needed
- Exposure to electrical current, moving machinery, chemicals, and debris
- Work performed primarily in a manufacturing and cleanroom environment
