- 3rd Shift: 9:30PM - 6AM
- Monday - Friday
Pay Rate:
- $22 - $28 / hour
Job Summary:
The Robot Cell Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting automated robotic cells to ensure safe and eAicient production. This role supports robotic systems, conveyors, Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), sensors, and automated material-handling equipment while maintaining all safety, quality, and production standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate automated robotic work cells.
- Monitor robotic operations through the HMI.
- Respond to machine alarms by following established troubleshooting procedures.
- Load and unload materials into robotic cells.
- Monitor conveyor systems to maintain a smooth product flow.
- Safely clear conveyor jams by following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Verify that products move properly through automated systems.
- Ensure barcode scanners and vision systems read products correctly.
- Perform basic startup and shutdown of robotic equipment.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections at the beginning of each shift.
- Clean robotic cells and workstations daily.
- Accurately complete production documentation and shift reports.
- Follow all GMP, safety, quality, and company operating procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
Basic knowledge of:
- Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
- Industrial sensors and photo eyes
- Conveyor systems
- Electric motors and basic electrical wiring
- Pneumatic components
- Industrial robot operation and safety
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to read basic machine-status information and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to follow written procedures and document production information accurately.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Zero to two years of manufacturing or automation experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and handle 30 pounds repeatedly throughout an eight-hour shift.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for four to eight hours per shift.
- Ability to kneel for one to four hours per shift.
- Frequent walking, stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, and reaching.
- Occasional sitting, climbing, and balancing.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor production environments with possible temperature changes.
- Required vision includes close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with the ability to adjust focus.
