Staff Management Group is seeking a Production Leader for our client in Linden, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 8AM - 4:30PM
- Monday - Friday
- Must be able to work Sundays as needed
- Plus overtime
Pay Rate:
- $20 / hour
Job Summary:
The Production Leader is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring that tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and safely. This position requires hands-on leadership to guide a team, manage order fulfillment, and maintain productivity standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production and warehouse activities
- Assign tasks to team members and ensure timely order fulfillment
- Monitor workflow to maintain efficiency and accuracy standards
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and order pickers
- Train and motivate warehouse staff to meet performance goals
- Enforce safety regulations and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Identify and resolve operational issues or emergencies quickly and effectively
- Track inventory and production data using handheld scanners or basic computer systems
- Communicate clearly with management and team members regarding progress, challenges, and needs
- Support general warehouse operations as required
Job Requirements:
- MUST be bilingual - English AND Spanish
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience; supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Forklift certification and at least 2 years of forklift operating experience required
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, and move throughout the shift
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
