Schedule
- 3rd shift: 11PM - 7:30AM
- Plus Overtime
Pay Rate
- $20 / hour
Job Summary
The Pit Operator will be responsible for operating industrial trucks, standup, and sit-down forklifts to load and unload trailers to then distribute and store materials.
Job Responsibilities
- Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations, including machines, loading docks, trucks, and storage areas.
- Obtains production schedule and/or shipping orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested orders accordingly.
- Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items.
- Secure and wrap load on pallets.
- Reports any problems with materials/items/loss or transportation to the supervisor.
- Services equipment as needed, reporting mechanical or electrical difficulties to truck mechanic.
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
Job Requirements
- MUST be bilingual - English AND Spanish
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3 years related experience and/or training
- Must be forklift certified.
- Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.
- Ability to work independently & multitask, be self-motivated, and a team player.
- General computer skills.
- Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness.
- Must be able to move and lift up to 40-pound
