Staff Management Group is seeking an Order Checker for our client in Linden, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 2nd Shift: 6PM - 2:30AM
- Monday - Friday
- Plus overtime
Pay Rate:
- $17.25 / hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Order Checker to ensure outgoing and incoming freight is accurate, properly documented, and compliant with order specifications. The ideal candidate is bilingual, computer proficient, and experienced in warehouse operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, including quantity, item codes, and condition
- Cross-reference orders with pick tickets, invoices, or bills of lading
- Use warehouse management systems or software to log and track inventory data
- Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or mislabels to the appropriate personnel
- Ensure all freight is properly labeled and prepared for shipment
- Maintain up-to-date records of checked inventory and report audit results
- Collaborate with shipping, receiving, and packing teams to maintain workflow
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols and quality standards
- Assist with general warehouse tasks when needed, including organizing, sorting, or scanning items
Job Requirements:
- MUST be bilingual in English AND Spanish
- Proficient in basic computer systems, including order entry and inventory software
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
