Job Description:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant in our nursing home, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to deliver personalized rehabilitation services, assist residents with exercises, and monitor their progress to support recovery and independence.
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans created by licensed physical therapists
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and mobility activities
- Monitor and document residents’ progress and response to treatments
- Educate residents and staff on therapeutic techniques and safety
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
- Follow all health and safety protocols relevant to a nursing home setting
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program
- Current state license or certification as a PTA
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well with elderly residents and team members
- Previous experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting is a plus
