Monitors key performance metrics, including case volume, turnover time, block utilization, and on-time starts. Drives OR efficiency initiatives to improve throughput and reduce delays. Ensures compliance with hospital policies, CMS, Joint Commission, and state regulatory standards. Manages departmental staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to support safe, high-quality care. Develops and manages operating and capital budgets while ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Collaborates with surgeons, anaesthesia, and clinical staff to enhance communication and operational performance. Leads quality-improvement initiatives and promotes evidence-based perioperative practice. Recruits, mentors, and develops perioperative nursing staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability. Oversees ongoing staff education, competency, and adherence to clinical and patient safety standards.
