Job Description

1. Developing an open source enterprise web framework
2. Providing support for said framework to 1000 engineers including training
3. Designing intuitive functional and extensible APIs
4. Building cross platform components and libraries for future reuse and open source Optimizing software for maximum performance across a vast array of webcapable devices and browsers as well as servers
5. Automating builds testing deployments and otherwise manual processes
6. Thoroughly reviewing pull requests and identifying breaking changes
7. Requirements Ability aptitude for solving complex problems with simple solutions
8. Forward thinking that anticipates the needs of our users the enterprise
9. Communication skills to teach users both in writing and speaking
10. Opensource mindset understanding of how when to split functionality into reusable libs that can benefit the whole OSS community beyond the enterprise
11. Strong proficiency in JavaScript Nodejs React including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
12. Knowledge of Accessibility and Web Standards
13. Understanding of React and its core principles
14. Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript
15. Experience with common JavaScript development tools such as Babel Webpack NPM yarn etc
16. Experience writing automated tests including unit integration visual and performance testing Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
17. Ability to perform benchmarking and optimization
18. Desirable traits Experience architecting building and high performance high quality software designed for enterprise capacity Has existing OSS contributions or created libraries that work outside of their application
