Staffing with Bliss is partnering with a well-established electronics manufacturing company to hire a skilled SMT Operator / Programmer. This is a direct-hire opportunity in a high-mix, high-quality manufacturing environment where precision, ownership, and collaboration are highly valued.
Shift & Pay
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Pay Range: $23 – $25 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Program and optimize SMT pick-and-place machines using CAD-generated files and HLC software.
- Validate SMT programs during initial production runs to ensure placement accuracy.
- Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis and recommend improvements.
- Set up and operate SMT equipment including pick-and-place machines, stencil printers, reflow ovens, and inspection scopes.
- Load, replenish, and verify feeders with reels, trays, and tubes of electronic components.
- Troubleshoot machine errors, placement issues, and build discrepancies.
- Calculate component coordinates and rotation angles as required.
- Review production notes and collaborate with team leads on best practices.
- Document build information and issues using job tracking systems.
- Perform inspections to IPC-A-610 standards.
- Follow preventive maintenance procedures and support continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of SMT assembly experience.
- Experience operating and/or programming SMT pick-and-place machines (JUKI or Samsung preferred).
- Ability to interpret BOMs, assembly drawings, and build instructions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical and electronic aptitude.
- Basic electronic component identification skills.
- Working knowledge of Windows-based systems, MS Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
