Description
Our client is hiring a Sr. Manager of Engineering to lead all engineering and maintenance operations at a high-volume dairy manufacturing plant. This role oversees a 19-person team, manages major capital projects, and drives plant reliability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians, planner, and manager.
- Manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs and plant reliability.
- Program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLCs.
- Oversee troubleshooting of pumps, valves, mechanical systems, and ammonia systems (28K lbs).
- Lead CAPEX projects (~$2M annually): planning, budgeting, vendor management, execution.
- Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and strong cross-functional partnership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 8 years engineering/maintenance experience in food manufacturing (dairy preferred).
- PLC programming required (Allen Bradley).
- Experience with capital projects, budgeting, and team leadership.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and CI skills.
Work Schedule: Production Mon–Fri; manager weekend rotation ~every 2 months.
Salary : $135,000 - $150,000
