Summary:
The Bureau of Social Care and Community Supports works to integrate health and human services within the Medicaid program. The bureau is composed of two units: Housing Unit and Social Determinants of Health (SDH) Unit. This position is in the Social Determinants of Health unit and will support the implementation of health-related social needs programs within the Medicaid program. The selected candidate will have the unique opportunity to support the Social Care Network (SCN) program implementation under New York’s 1115 Waiver Amendment.
This position is focused on Medicaid policy and will be charged with:

• Assist in researching and writing policy related to Health Related Social Needs in the Medicaid program, including: 1115 Waivers, Social Care Networks, Value-Based Payment, State In Lieu of Services, State Plan Amendments, and other priorities of the bureau.
• Support the 1115 Waiver Social Care Networks oversight and implementation, including policy, program enhancements, and the evaluation of the Social Care Network activities and overall NYHER 1115 Waiver implementation.
• Create a broad range of written material, including policies and procedures for internal & external stakeholders.
• Research policy areas relevant to Division projects, programs, and activities. Elicit requirements from subject matter experts in the context of projects, initiatives, and process improvements.
• Lead team members and internal workgroups
• Develop presentations, facilitate large and small group meetings, and collaborative events.

Basic Qualifications:
Level 1

• 8 years of professional experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred, Master's degree highly desired
• The applicant must also have solid writing and verbal communication skills and general familiarity with Windows operating system and common software, such as Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Pro.

Level 2

• 10 years of professional experience
• 5 years of subject matter expertise
• Supervisory experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred, Master's degree highly desired
• The applicant must also have solid writing and verbal communication skills and general familiarity with Windows operating system and common software, such as Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Pro.

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
