Position: Underwriting Assistant

Location: Honolulu, HI

Pay: $16 to $18/hour

Experience: 1 to 2 years of general office experience

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking an Underwriting Assistant = to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

• Provide clerical support for underwriting submissions and renewals
• Review submissions for clearance and update Salesforce
• Review and process Agent of Record (AOR) requests per SOPs
• Handle premium audit printing, assembly, and distribution
• Review renewal instructions and distribute accordingly
• Type, print, and update policy documents as requested
• Scan and index documentation into appropriate systems
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
  
  

Position Requirements

• Keyboarding 35 WPM
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work and multitask to meet deadlines
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Team oriented with a positive attitude
• Ability to collaborate across departments
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of Property & Casualty insurance experience
