A respected private audiology practice with more than 40 years of serving the community is seeking a part-time, temporary/per diem Audiologist to provide coverage in a patient-centered clinical environment.
This flexible opportunity involves providing diagnostic audiology services, including comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid evaluations, hearing aid fittings, programming, Real Ear Measurements (REM), patient counseling, and follow-up care for primarily adult patients.
The Audiologist will help provide seamless patient care during temporary coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations and assess hearing loss in adult patients.
- Conduct hearing aid evaluations, recommend appropriate technology, and provide hearing aid fittings, programming, verification (Real Ear Measurements/REM), and follow-up care.
- Fit and program digital hearing aids, including Lyric extended-wear devices (training provided), and provide troubleshooting and adjustments as needed.
- Take ear impressions for custom earmolds, hearing protection, musician plugs, and other custom hearing solutions.
- Provide patient counseling, education, and ongoing support to ensure successful hearing aid outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with the practice team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Requirements
- Doctorate (Au.D.) or Master’s degree in Audiology
- Current New Jersey Audiology license with dispensing privileges
- At least one (1) year of post-licensure experience in hearing aid dispensing and clinical audiology
