Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the warehouse staff on daily inbound operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and distribution goal are met. Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving operations, to ensure timely processing of orders.
- Manage inventory control processes, maintaining accurate stock levels and overseeing inventory management systems.
- Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations to foster professional development.
- Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Train and operate sit down forklifts and other material handling equipment such as order pickers safely while overseeing the safe handling of heavy lifting tasks.
- Maintain accurate records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure data integrity for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
- Monitor e-commerce fulfillment processes to meet customer expectations for order accuracy and delivery timelines.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse, shipping & receiving
- Must lead by example (working along side the team) as needed
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety practices related to warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as AS400 or similar platforms.
- Experience with e-commerce fulfillment processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Experience with inventory returns, customer pick up's
- Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50lbs) as required by the role. Work Hours: 9:30am-6pm Tuesday-Friday 7am until finished on Saturday
Pay: $22-$23/hr. Temp to hire
