🔍 About the Role
The Production Planning Assistant supports daily production planning and scheduling activities, ensuring accurate execution of production orders and alignment with established priorities. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role focused on ERP data integrity, production coordination, and operational efficiency.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain accurate production orders within ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central).
- Generate production orders tied to released sales orders, ensuring alignment with planning rules and priorities.
- Close completed production orders for finished goods and components in accordance with established procedures.
- Produce and manage critical shop floor documentation, including travelers, drawings, and work orders .
- Support production scheduling activities by maintaining timelines and prioritizing work orders .
- Monitor material availability and proactively flag shortages or risks impacting production .
- Track and update production order status, including quantities, due dates, and completion milestones.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Purchasing, and Inventory teams to ensure on-time delivery .
- Maintain high standards of data accuracy for production documentation and ERP records.
- Support inventory accuracy through proper production order setup and lifecycle management .
- Assist with engineering change implementation, including drawing revisions and BOM updates.
- Utilize Excel and Power BI to support reporting, tracking, and operational performance visibility .
- Follow SOPs and best practices for planning, data control, and ERP usage.
