Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire (4-month transition period)Pay Rate: $26.00 – $30.00 per hourPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to safely and efficiently operate material-handling cranes in a busy recycling yard environment. This role involves loading, unloading, and moving various scrap metal and recyclable materials while maintaining strict safety standards and ensuring smooth yard operations. This is a physically active, outdoor position in a fast-paced setting.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate stationary and mobile cranes to lift, move, and position scrap metal materials.Load and unload trucks or containers using grapples, magnets, or other crane attachments.Conduct daily equipment inspections and immediately report maintenance or safety concerns.Adhere to all safety protocols, including required PPE and yard traffic flow procedures.Assist with general yard duties, including sorting materials and maintaining a clean work area.Collaborate with scale operators, loaders, and yard staff to support efficient workflow.Maintain accurate documentation of loads moved and materials handled.RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of crane operating experience.Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.Strong focus on safety, reliability, and attention to detail.Physically able to climb into machinery and assist with manual tasks as needed.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.ScheduleMonday–Friday: 4:00 AM – 3:00 PMSaturday: 4:00 AM – 1:00 PM
