Location: Savannah, GA
Pay: $15/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday with some weekend work required
Shifts Available: 5:00 AM–1:00 PM, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable Food Service Worker to support daily kitchen operations within a behavioral health hospital setting. This role involves food preparation, light cooking, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and assembling meals
Perform light cooking duties following established recipes and dietary guidelines
Serve meals to patients and staff in a timely and professional manner
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work areas, and dining spaces
Bus tables and assist with overall dining area upkeep
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Properly store food and supplies
Occasionally lift and move heavy items such as food deliveries and kitchen supplies
Requirements:
Ability to follow food safety procedures and guidelines
Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs. as needed
Previous food service or kitchen experience
