What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deployment Strategist position at StaffGreat.com?
Our client — a fast-growing startup operating at the intersection of AI, data, and applied technology — is looking for a Deployment Strategist to own and operate data pipelines end-to-end. The company partners with leading organizations across the industry and needs a scrappy, high-agency operator who can go deep into a specific vertical, become the resident expert on its platform and network of contributors, and ensure everything runs smoothly and with precision.
What You'll Be Doing
- Owning a single data pipeline vertical — learning every detail of the platform, categories, and UI inside and out
- Managing and communicating with a contributor network to maintain high satisfaction and output quality
- QA'ing 50–100 data tasks daily, spotting errors, and triaging issues with engineering and support teams
- Interfacing across stakeholders — engineering, support, contributors, and clients — to resolve problems as they arise
- Building and iterating on operational workflows to keep the platform running correctly and data accurate
Key Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in a role that demonstrates rigor and grind (investment banking — bulge bracket or middle market, PE, startup ops, or tech ops, consulting)
- Extreme attention to detail, with the ability to review large volumes of data tasks and quickly identify what's right and what's wrong
- Strong written communicator who can manage multiple stakeholders, including during off-hours
- A hands-on operational executor — this is not a strategy or PowerPoint role; you'll be getting your hands dirty daily (dealbreaker)
Work Experience
- Background in operationally intense roles — investment banking, consulting, or (ideally) operations at a high-growth startup
Soft Skills
- Hard-working: willing to work 55–70 hours/week during peak periods
- Extreme attention to detail: comfortable reviewing 50–100 tasks for data quality
- Proactive and independent: able to work autonomously and identify solutions to problems without hand-holding
Seniority & Education
- 1–2 years of experience in operations or strategic projects at a high-growth startup
- Degree from a top-50 university; a quantitative major (engineering, data science, math, econ) is a strong plus, though not a dealbreaker
Salary : $180,000 - $240,000
