Systems Engineer (Mid-Level)
Full-Time | On-Site | TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph Required
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with at least 14 years of systems engineering experience and a technical bachelor’s degree to support programs in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements, operational concepts, and system architectures to develop detailed technical specifications
- Lead system design and development activities to ensure alignment with mission and program requirements
- Provide guidance on requirements development, alternative technical solutions, and feasibility assessments
- Develop system architecture documentation, technical designs, and implementation plans
- Oversee system integration and implementation planning, including systems engineering management and test planning activities
- Serve as a technical point of contact to resolve issues and ensure compliance with program objectives and technical standards
- Prepare, maintain, and update technical documentation throughout all phases of the system lifecycle
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including program teams, customers, and senior leadership
- Support system validation, verification, and performance evaluation activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful system deployment and sustainment
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 14 years of systems engineering or related technical experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (additional experience may be substituted where applicable)
- IAT Level II certification or equivalent certification meeting federal cybersecurity requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph
