AdventHealth Medical Group, Rocky Mountain Region is seeking an OB/GYN Hospitalist Physician in Louisville, CO
AdventHealth Avista averages 180-200 deliveries/month, but most of these deliveries will be done by the physicians and midwives that work at Avista. The OB hospitalist will serve as the primary back-up for the delivering providers. Delivering providers may choose to sign-out patients to the hospitalist. The hospitalist will assist with C-sections as needed. The hospitalist will be the primary provider for unassigned patients that are presented to the L&D unit and to the ED. The OB hospitalist will see all patients that come into triage, unless the primary provider chooses to see them. The hospitalist will care for precipitous deliveries if the delivering provider is not on campus. The hospitalist will respond to all OB emergencies (such as postpartum hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, level I (emergent) C-sections). The hospitalist will communicate with primary providers about any concerns, monitor the tracings on the unit, attend "strip rounds", participate in drills and other educational activities.
