About the Role:
The State of Michigan is seeking a skilled System Analyst 3 to support the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget in collaboration with Treasury. The selected candidate will work on system security, application development, requirements gathering, and documentation.
This is a hybrid role; candidates must be local within 1 hour of Dimondale, MI. Remote-only candidates will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs) based on NIST 800-53.
- Collaborate with Treasury teams to capture and document system requirements.
- Create, update, and review test plans, user guides, and other technical documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
- Evaluate risks and impacts of proposed system changes and software updates.
- Facilitate requirements gathering and lead meetings with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with SUITE Project Management Methodology (PMM) and Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM).
- Develop training content and assist in facilitating training sessions.
- Validate test data/results and maintain defect tracking logs.
- Support change management processes, including Local and Enterprise Change Boards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in security governance, risk, and compliance.
- Proficient in JavaScript, Azure DevOps, and .NET Tech Stack.
- Experience with testing and documentation in a professional environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead meetings.
- Experience in state government projects highly preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to write detailed SSP responses.
- Experience in project/work estimation and scheduling.
- Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical team members.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour
