Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team on a temporary assignment. In this role, you will perform laboratory tests, operate lab equipment, and help ensure accurate results according to established procedures. Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests using conventional and computerized equipment.
- Follow prescribed procedures and standards to ensure accurate results.
- Determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of samples.
- Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of tests and results.
- Ensure laboratory safety and cleanliness at all times.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate lab instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with chemical and physical testing.
