Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-year previous working experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• CPR card issued by the American Heart Association
• Must have up to date credentials in the state of OR

Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Assess patients with breathing or lung problems
• Administer oxygen therapy and breathing treatments
• Operate and monitor ventilators and respiratory equipment
• Perform pulmonary function tests and monitor lung function
• Assist with airway management and suctioning
• Monitor patient progress and report changes
• Educate patients on breathing exercises and inhaler use
• Respond to respiratory emergencies
• Document treatments and patient care
• Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff
