Job Description
Provides patient care in an emergency setting, reflecting initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with minimum supervision. Triages safely, rapidly, and accurately. Communicates with physicians about patient status. Must be willing to cross-train in other nursing departments as the need arises.
Qualifications & Skills
Current California RN license, BLS, ACLS* and PALS* certifications required, with 2 years recent ER experience preferred and operating knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (T-System and CPSI).Must pass nursing medication test. Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written.
Must have good interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully, and respectfully with patients, staff, the general public, and governmental agency reps. Basic computer skills required.
Must be willing to float to Med Surg if needed
Requirements:
- Active CA State Registered Nurse License
- Valid BLS
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Additional certifications may be required
